🧶🦣 Welcome! 🦣🧶
Are you looking for a last minute outfit for the 4th of July? Or maybe you want some quick themed items to stock up with for an upcoming market? Or maybe you just want something to do for the next hour? Well I have the perfect pattern for you!
I have been having so much fun designing items for 4th of July and using up some of my red, white, and blue yarn. The pattern I am sharing today is super quick and easy, which you know are my favorite kind of patterns! This one is too cute! This bikini is such a unique shape and an eye-catcher, you are bound to get lots of compliments!
This pattern is very beginner friendly. We will use the basic stitches like chains, single crochet, and double crochet. But you will also get to try some fun stitches like the treble crochet and the double treble crochet! I will walk you through how to do these stitches. They are easier than they sound, and if you can do a double crochet you can definitely do these! The last fun stitch we will do is a sc2tog or a sc decrease. This is where we will single crochet 2 stitches together, essentially turning 2 stitches into 1.
You may sell the finished product as long as I am credited for the pattern. Do not copy and publish this pattern as your own.

Pattern Notes
- This pattern uses US crochet terms
- The ch at the start of each round does not count as a stitch
- Repeat the pattern in [] brackets
- The stitches in parentheses() are all worked into the same stitch
- The number at the end of each round in parentheses() indicate stitch count
Let’s get started!
Star Cups
You will make one solid blue star. For the second star, you will change colors between red and white each round.
Round 1: make a magic circle, dc 10 into the ring. (10)
Round 2: ch 2 (reminder that the ch 2 does
not count as a stitch), inc in each stitch
around, sl st (20)
Round 3: ch 2, repeat [dc in the first stitch,
inc in the next] around, sl st (30)
Round 4: ch 2, repeat [dc in the first 2 stitches, inc in the next] around, sl st (40)
Round 5: ch 2, repeat [dc in the first 3 stitches, inc in the next] around, sl st (50)
Round 6: ch 1 (does not count as a stitch), repeat [sc 1, hdc 1, dc 1, tr 2 in the next st, dtr 3 in the next st, tr 2 in the next st, dc 1, hdc 1, sc 1, sl st] around (70)
Round 7: ch 1 (does not count as a stitch), repeat [sc 5, (hdc 1 and dc 1 in the next st), ch 3, (dc 1 and hdc 1 in the next st), sc 5, sc2tog] around
Tie off and weave in ends.
Attach Cups
With the wrong sides facing you, thread a 2 inch piece of blue yarn through one of the ch 3 spaces of each star. Tie a knot making sure the knot is on the wrong side.
Do the same in the ch 3 space just below. Weave in ends.
Straps
The straps need to be long enough to thread back and forth through the rest of the ch 3 spaces on the star.
Row 1: Ch 210. Sl st in the first ch from hook and all the way across. Attach to the top of the star, in the ch 3 space next to the ones already attached.
Repeat for the other side. Thread the straps across back and forth through the last 2 chain 3 spaces, as pictured below.
Be sure to weave in your ends
…and you’re done!

I loved this pattern!! So fun! I wear a 38DDD and was concerned about the stars fitting everything in so I slapped a dc border around both of them and inc the straps by 30 ch and it fits PERFECTLY,, I’m obsessed cannot wait to wear it this week!! as a newer crocheter it took me about 4 hours total to complete:-)
Yay! Shannon, thank you so much for sharing! I am so glad that you were able to make the pattern work for you & I am SOO happy you love it!! <3
